Error when starting up the computer “System battery voltage is low”
Sometimes there is a situation that when the computer starts up, information will be displayed that requires the user to take an additional action to start the computer. This is discussed in this entry “System battery voltage is low”. It looks like this:

The error does not happen often but has certain consequences.

The cause of the error System battery voltage is low
Information displayed on the screen indicates low battery voltage. This is by no means a battery used to power the computer, such as in laptops. The message concerns a small battery with the symbol: 2032, located on the motherboard. The purpose of this battery is to keep the BIOS and clock memory.
Consequences of error
The most noticeable is the need for an additional keyboard tap to start the computer. However, this is the least intrusive element. A discharged battery will cause the BIOS to be reset to factory settings, so all settings that we enter will disappear. In addition, the clock will be reset to some much earlier date – initially this error may seem small, but will disrupt the operation of many programs, including web browsers, and the content of errors may not suggest a solution unambiguously.
The solution of the error
The simplest solution is to replace the battery on the motherboard. There are many computer models and everyone should take a slightly different approach, but in the case of desktops, the entire operation should take no more than 10 minutes. As an example, there are pictures from a replacement battery in a small Dell Optiplex 755 computer below:
1. On the back of the housing there is a blue knob that allows you to open the case. Turn them according to the drawn arrow
2. Then remove the hard drive by pulling the blue rails attached to it:
3. Under the disc is a windmill, bolted with one screw. It is necessary to unscrew and extend the cooling.
4. To make sure that the battery poses problems, you can measure its voltage with the most ordinary meter. The voltage that should have a good battery is about 3V. In the presented case, it was much less:
Problem after replacing the battery
Replacing the battery should end all problems, but it may happen that you may still see an error when you start the system, only in the changed form:
Undoubtedly, during the replacement of BIOS batteries and the clock have been restored, to factory settings, so it may be necessary to go to the BIOS, set the date and record. Sometimes it is enough to change the date from the same Windows system without entering the BIOS.
